Here it is: the famous Angkor!
What you see in the Lara Croft movie is even more impressive in reality.
Today I walked around for twenty kilometres in order to explore some of the main temples.
The area is really wide and it contains really a lot of small, medium and big temples.
The area does not host only temples, it is also a beautiful natural place; below you have a picture I took to show this: a native fishing in one of the lakes.
It is also funny to observe how monkeys surf for food not afraid at by the many tourists around.
Definitily this is the most beautiful place I have visited in Cambodia, after the experience through the jungle of course. However, after gathering information about it, I realized that this group of temples belongs to Vietnam, based on political agreements: it’s such a pity!
But what I was most impressed by is how the nature gets back its place as soon as the temple has been dismiissed and abandoned, as you can see in the following pictures.
