If you haven’t read it yet, here it is: why this trip !
Today I went to visit a couple of interesting places around Battambang. The first place was a cavern which sadly was used by the Pol Pot’s regime during the genocide.
People were thrown down the cavern to be killed. This is not a pleasant story but definitely something to report and especially not to be forgotten.
Despite a monsonic rain menaced to come down, I went and visited the bats’ cavern.
Every day around dinner time thousands of bats fly out the cavern looking for food (insects) in the nearby forest.
They fly all according their radar in the same direction forming a real long and impressive queue.
This is for example the long queue of bats flying from the cavern to the forest.
All this is happening right before the sunset.
